DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We are seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance (Tissue Bank). This position will assist the Senior Director of Quality Systems in the maintenance and oversight of the quality assurance department. This role will be responsible for executing, monitoring and managing the quality assurance teams. Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities.

Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:
Provides oversight of the daily operations of the quality assurance teams of the Quality System department.
Oversees the review, release, and maintenance of all quality assurance documentation batch records. Ensures compliance with internal procedures, FDA regulations and AATB standards.
Recruits, hires, and trains Quality Assurance staff members. Provides direction and oversight of the QA staff and ensures required tasks are completed within required time frames.
Works with the Database and Reporting Manager to develop tracking metrics to evaluate the success and completion of goals. Evaluates trends in performance to determine process improvements.
Assists QA with the initiation, investigation and closure of deviations, complaints and other occurrence reports. Assists the Senior Director of Quality Systems with reportable events, such as FDA adverse event reporting, recalls, and HCT/P core deviations.
Acts as liaison between Operations (processing) and the Medical Director on compliance and product safety issues.
Assists the Senior Director of Quality Systems with preparing for and participating in hosting regulatory audits, including FDA, AATB, state and international agencies.
Identifies, creates, reviews and revises all applicable standard operating procedures related to quality assurance.
Acts as a role model for DCIDS by supporting, reinforcing, and exhibiting behaviors consistent with the DCIDS core values, which are: selfless, hardworking, passionate, and dependable.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Bachelor’s degree in science or Allied Healthcare field
3+ years of experience managing quality, compliance or operations, or other similar fields.
Direct Supervision experience required
CTBS preferred
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
