Gift of Life Michigan is seeking a full-time Tissue Center Manager. As a Tissue Center Manager you will collaborate with other Tissue Center Managers to oversee and train the Tissue Center staff facilitating tissue cases. This involves real time evaluation of case volume and individual employee skill sets to effectively assign tasks, assess authorization rate, and ensure adequate and effective training is implemented in the Tissue Center.
In collaboration with the Tissue director and the Quality department, the manager is responsible for developing and implementing quality processes throughout the Tissue Center, to include; ensuring staff approach families for tissue donation and maintain benchmark authorization rates, monitoring quality and proficiency of the Tissue Center staff, overseeing training and evaluation of staff, monitoring donor record documentation, maximizing tissue gifts, and participating in data collection and analysis. Manager on-call time for the purposes of case facilitation, night shift rotation, staff assistance and personnel resource management is required. The Tissue Center manager responsibilities may include assisting with the responsibilities of staff in times of high donor volume or reduced staff availability.
The Tissue Center is a 24 hour per day, 365 day a year operation and flexibility regarding scheduling is required by all staff.
To qualify for the Tissue Center Manager position you must have a bachelor’s degree. Two years’ supervisory/management experience, experience as a Tissue Donation Coordinator or equivalent is preferred. The incumbent must be familiar with computers and able to manage a variety of electronic records and databases with adequate training.
