This position is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Tissue Services department, developing and implementing tissue and eye recovery programs and overseeing the coordination of logistical support for tissue and eye recovery services, while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, FDA regulations, including current Good Tissue Practices (cGTP) and AATB standards. Some of the key result areas are:
Provides day to day oversight of clinical related activities in the areas of tissue and eye procurement.
Oversees the department’s new employee orientation and continuing education programs.
Facilitates development/implementation of systems and quality/performance indicators for Tissue Services to improve upon processes and procedures and improve recovery statistics.
Provides direction to and/or manages the selection, training, development, and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, productive, and professional work force for Indiana Donor Network.
Actively participates as a member of the Indiana Donor Network leadership team.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in allied health or related field, or the equivalent of education and experience is required. Minimum of (3) three years experience in tissue banking or related field is required. CTBS certification is required. Previous management experience is preferred.
