We are currently seeking an experienced Trainer with sterile technique, surgical technology, or operating room experience to help with the training and development of our tissue processing staff. The job duties include: Design, develop, and execute formal and structured technical and non-technical training for tissue processing staff. Perform functions necessary to assure CBC/CTS compliance with all regulatory, statutory, accreditation, and local regulations, and ISO standards.
JOB FUNCTIONS: • Performing or overseeing the initial training and orientation for new CTS employees. • Oversee and assist hands on preceptor training for CTS employees. • Aid in the coordination of or perform applicable training to Tissue Processing job tasks and responsibilities. • Create and maintain departmental master lists, training modules, and training programs. Communicate and discuss training issues with trainers, supervisors and other CTS staff to provide continuity and consistency of training and optimal learning. • Maintain applicable employee training files. • Ensure all employee training is documented and tracked. • Ensure re-training, continuing education and competency assessments are performed as required. • Maintain adequate knowledge base in Tissue Processing. • Assist in the review and development of Quality Assurance and CTS SOP’s and Policies. • Incorporate new or modified procedures into training material as required. • Conduct training objective and needs assessments. • Maintain knowledge of and supports CBC/CTS SOP’s and Policies. Maintains knowledge of appropriate regulatory standards, regulations and guidelines, current Good Manufacturing Practices and current Good Tissue Practices. • Consistently demonstrates integration of CBC/CTS quality policy and guiding principles by modeling behavior that supports achieving our mission and vision. • Supports and incorporates CBC/CTS business needs, goals, and performance indicators into all business decisions and actions. Exhibits support of our values, quality objectives, ethics, customer service, and confidentiality standards at all times. • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience Minimum of 2-3 years teaching/training experience required, preferably in tissue/blood services, operating room or related medical background preferred.
