General Summary


Plans and manages the tissue donor development team to provide world-class customer service GenCure Tissue Center’s hospital, medical examiner, funeral home, donation and other local community partners. Educates these partners and the community of the benefits of tissue donation to increase awareness and opportunity to donate.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (including donors) through established feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.


Major Duties and Responsibilities


Essential Tasks


Manages and participates in tissue center hospital development and outreach programs and leads staff in their implementation.

In collaboration with GenCure leadership, develops and executes a strategic plan to retain current donor referral sources and develop new opportunities to increase potential donor pool.

Develops relationships with key decision makers to manages contract agreements with all donor referral facilities.

Identifies referral and donor statistics and ensures those are consistently communicated to donor referral sources on a periodic basis and as requested; participates in various donor committees to improve donation outcomes.

Creates and plans external and internal training and education programs to increase donation awareness.

Identifies individual and departmental training needs, oversees the performance of the hospital development department.

Collaborates with other GenCure departments to ensure donor database updates are completed accurately.

Collaborates with other GenCure departments and corporate communications to identify opportunities to increase donation and brand awareness via education programs, public outreach and social media activities.

Develop, justify and manage departmental budget.

Makes hiring recommendations and leads in the recruitment and screening of applicants to fit departmental needs.

Manages Hospital development staff to include developing goals, coaching, overseeing, verifying and approving time cards.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

Must have an understanding of the American Association of Tissue Banking regulatory requirements.



Must be capable of training and relating to tissue services and hospital staff.

Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.

Must have excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.



Must be able to assist in the expanding of services and contracts GenCure provides.

Must be able to keep information confidential.

Must be able to travel overnight within and outside of service area.

Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.

Must be professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative, creative, assertive, organized, communicative, and have the ability to work independently.


Working Environment


Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. Will work extended hours during peak procurement and/or processing periods. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on-call. Must be able to travel to hospitals and other facilities. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required. 


Physical Requirements

Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization.

Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.

Requires ability to reach, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range.
