As an Senior Tissue Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the processing of demineralized, non-demineralized tissue, packaging, and other relevant duties while maintaining the highest Quality Control Standards.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform duties and responsibilities as a scrub technician, in preparation of all sterile work areas and supplies needed for various stages of processing.
Demonstrate effective time management skills.
Able to operate all instrumentation required to clean, cut, and package a tissue donor.
Able to operate the bandsaw for the production of allografts.
Able to interact with coworkers in a leadership capacity.
Ensures all safety protocols are being followed and maintains highest regard to safety.
Basic skills and knowledge necessary for production of engineered grafts.
Able to operate and troubleshoot a CNC machine
Manage case load according to production demands.
Recommend changes in protocols, procedures and/or any area of responsibility pertaining to processing that would enhance the overall operations of Origin Biologics.
Comprehensive knowledge of tissue specifications including but not limited to; traditional grafts, soft tissue, specialty grafts and demineralized tissue.
Knowledge of protocols set forth in Tissue Bank Standards (AATB).
Able to troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation used in processing of human tissue.
Perform the final QC of all tissue processing documentation.
Manage recipes for all lyophilizer
Knowledge and skills to perform final QC of freeze-dried allografts.
Observe environmental conditions and report deficiencies.
Conduct hands on training with other technicians.
Manage the tissue inventory to ensure that it meets the appropriate production demands.
Thorough knowledge of allograft specifications.
Able to assist in final packaging of allografts.
Coordinates multiple procedures while maintaining the highest Quality Control Standards.
Able to pass random Manager, Supervisor and Quality Assurance observational audits as necessary for the Senior Tissue Technician position.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the processing/production of allografts
Bachelor’s Degree in biology or license Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Medical Technologist, Associate Degree in allied science or;
High School diploma
Certificate of AATB Tissue Bank Specialist
Ability to use craftsman type equipment and tooling.
Requires the visual acuity and manual dexterity necessary to prepare tissue for clinical use in an aseptic manner.
Interpersonal interaction with fellow staff members and supervisors.
