l. LifeGift is seeking experienced leaders for our tissue recovery program in Houston, Texas. This position will report to the Vice President of Tissue Services and Communications Center Operations in Houston.
ll. Essential Functions • Provides leadership, management and support to tissue recovery staff in day to day operations. • Participate in budget development, implementation and management of departmental resources. • Collaborate with LifeGift organizational leaders and external partners to develop and implement strategies for growth. • Provides input on strategic planning. • Supervises recovery and development staff. • Act as liaison between LifeGift and external partners for purposes of developing relationships to improve performance/recovery opportunities. • Develops the business plan for recovery of tissue and the donor network across the service area. • Analyze data to optimize departmental quality assurance goals. • Develops ongoing assessment of customer service perceptions and expectations. • Conduct and deliver performance evaluations of assigned staff. • Assist the VP in development and implementation of continuous quality improvement progress for the department. • Analyze and report on recovery productivity and report to leadership on trends • Shares in administrative calls. • Demonstrates LifeGift’s core values of passion, compassion and professionalism at all times. • Makes best efforts on a daily basis to exhibit behaviors supporting LifeGift’s strategic anchors of dual advocacy, expertise and fiscal strength. • Adheres to LifeGift’s Code of Conduct at all times. • Perform other duties as assigned. III. Qualifications A. Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Biology, Healthcare or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Five to seven years of related experience and/or training in leadership development, project management, strategic planning. • CTBS (Certificated Tissue Banking Specialist) through the American Association of Tissue Banks required.
• Knowledgeable in the function of tissue recovery. • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records, and Timekeeping software. • Display integrity, initiative, perseverance, flexibility, teamwork, empathy and persuasiveness. • Exceptional organizational, leadership, time management, and analytical skills. • Good communication skills with all employees, donor families, hospital staff and all other related LifeGift facilities. • Ability to apply learned clinical knowledge to the job. • Ability to coordinate and delegate projects.
