Reporting to the Director–Innovation, you are responsible for developing new activities related to Human Tissue Operations. Your responsibilities include identifying, testing and applying procedures for tissue recovery and processing for new products. You also collaborate in establishing a program for the validation of new processes, as well as overseeing the drafting of standard operating procedures (SOP) required to implement them. In collaboration with the Advisor–Scientific Information, you conduct scientific monitoring of emerging processes and products in the human tissues industry.
More specifically, you:
Analyse clients’ needs for the eventual introduction of new tissues or allografts;
Act as an expert advisor for Human Tissue Operations;
Represent the company on various international networks of experts;
Contribute to the reputation of the company through presentations, lectures and participations in scientific congresses and meetings related to this mandate;
Act as an expert for internal and external audits;
Understand and prioritize clients’ needs regarding new tissues or products that could be prepared by Human Tissue Operations;
Develop and improve tissue processing and recovery processes;
Participate in developing and implementing new process validation programs;
Participate in exploring and developing new markets for human tissues;
Also, based on the issues, carry out operational tasks related to these responsibilities.
• Post-graduate degree in a job-related field (biology, microbiology, biochemistry or other field) or Master’s degree combined with relevant experience; • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; • Very good command of French and English, both spoken and written; • Have, or be in the process of obtaining, certification from the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) as a tissue bank specialist.
